Obama-Ali goes on to add this:
"Everybody in the barbershops, the beauty shops, and at work -- everybody's got to understand: This is a huge election," he said. "If we turn out in strong numbers, then we will do fine. If we do not, if we are depressed and decide, well, you know, Barack's not running right now, so I'm just going to stay home, then I'm going to have my hands full up here on Capitol Hill."First, what's with the hair? But moving on.org, way to get out the vote, Barack "the rock" Obama; don't think I've ever been more proud to be an American...it just gets better and better, with sarcasm flying everywhere, look out, it's gonna get ugly.
"This year, the stakes are higher than ever," he said, according to a transcript of his remarks provided by Democratic officials. "It will be up to each of you to make sure that young people, African Americans, Latinos and women who powered our victory in 2008 stand together once again.WATCH the video if you can stomach it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oh-yR1HWkbM
Okay, so are you telling me, flat out, you don't care about whitey no more, no more? Because, with all due respect to the big house, you didn't specifically mention that group.
Now if I'm not mistaken, you said you'd be different...you would bring Washington together...you would bring both sides of the aisle together like the parting of the Red Sea -- only in reverse...did you not proclaim the almighty words "yes we can" with the kind of one-two punch that gained the all inclusive recognition and knockout respect of every American, of every color -- but predominantly white! -- to win! hands down! your current title!?
Some kind of trillion dollar baby you turned out to be; buck up buttercup doesn't begin to hit your current dilemma on the head.
But getting back to that little thing you said..."hand-to-hand" combat; is that a threat?
You know, saying something like that, some people might consider that unleashing some kind of extremism, or something...similar to putting "targets" out on people...or carrying a yellow flag with a snake on it (albeit in pieces)... or like declaring the constitutionality of keeping our guns (and religion too). Hand-to-hand combat? Will that be spun into just something you said taken out of context -- or will Gibbs simply say, you misspoke.
I think you'll like this, Mr. President,
when Mike Huckabee was visiting with one of your favorite people, Sean Hannity, last night, he was responding to a question about Christine O'Donnell's new ad, which fought back to the witchy-poo scandal head on, wondering if that was a good idea.
He basically said, absolutely, and here's why: you always want to be the one to come after the first punch -- you want to be the one to throw the counter punch, as you get way more out of it. For then, not only do you dismiss either the stupidity or logic back behind the first punch, but are now fully armed and dangerous with the right tactic to take it on, head on, and throw back the old one-two, adding a quick jab underneath before your through. pow pow powpowpow. down for the count.
So applying this logic to Obama Holyfield, get ready for the counter punch, baby -- but remember, you started it, Mr. I'll be different and I will bring this country together, I will make us one people again, as Americans, I will bring equality under the law, I will bring economic stimulus for all, I will bring health care to all, and I will start with cleaning up the bad boys (and ho's) of washington." eye, eye, eye, eye, eye (But oh G, that was not nice back there...now take it back...okay...taking back the ho comment...now you'all just pretend I never threw that punch...it was below the beltway and behavior unbecoming of a lady)
Okay, can we move on now?
Since I brought him up, check out Evander Holyfield's website...OMG...cool dude all the way...giving back to his community...proclaiming his faith in God before his countrymen...this guy is a stand up boxer with bank, braun and blessings, choosing to share his bounty with us and the kids who need him, watch him, and worship his every move. Thank you, Evander -- you are the real deal.
(Sorry, had to stop and advertise one for the good boy; G loves good boys, big time...)
"God forbid we should ever be
20 years without such a rebellion.
The people cannot be all, and always, well informed.
The part which is wrong will be discontented,
in proportion to the importance of the facts they misconceive.
If they remain quiet under such misconceptions,
it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty....
And what country can preserve its liberties,
if its rulers are not warned from time to time,
that this people preserve the spirit of resistence."
THOMAS JEFFERSON
God love Tommy boy; talk like that makes 'just a girl's' heart race; if only, our dear One, understood the depth and breadth and strength back behind this country's history, and of course, it's future; to a true American homeboy or girl, our liberty is everything; our rights ENDOWED by our CREATOR, as recently forgotten by the Bad Boy in Chief, is not just a slogan, a slick phrase or a corporate sales pitch stitched into our shorts -- we embody It, we live It, we enjoy a life of grace in It. But more important, we are PROTECTED by It, by virtue of our Constitution and Founding Principles, along with the incredible individual relationship each and every one of us safely keeps with It (if we choose, unlike your trendsetting legislation, as it's not mandatory).
Anyway, that little threat you made to republicans, the hand-to-hand combat that awaits after the election and over the course of the next two years, specifically, verbatim, as you say...bring it. But this is where you get it all wrong mr. oops I did it again, my hand must have slipped, for that remark you sent flying from the left only braises the right cheek of the GOP.
Where it really smarts, is upon that majority of Americans sitting just right of center ring...
can we get a little spotlight over there for a minute...no...little more to the right...little more...there. stop.
oooh ouch. Did you see that?
Yup, that was a real doozy you done dare threw our way. We're seeing stars, actually.
But you just laugh it off, cuz you just don't get it, do you?
The GOP doesn't run the house -- WE do, WE THE PEOPLE; and about that punch you threw, you nailed it -- we got it right on the kisser; while here's a riddle for you, what happens when the have-nots hold the purse strings, just who becomes the dis-enfranchised? The free market, ain't she a bitch.
The good news is, our counter punch is a coming...
wait for it....
according to our deal, the old one, our contract with America gives us the right (and duty) to vote any way we want -- and isn't that wonderful; and, when the final bell rings, we expect our leader to follow, graciously, and perhaps with little more respect, ya got that?
For we are the ones who own the house.
We manage the house, fix the house, and right now, we are ready to bet the house in order to "preserve the spirit of resistence" and kick all you bums out because, much like your own foreshadowing, things are so, how do you say bad boy, "out of hand" yo -- our head is spinning.
And we are fighting mad about it, too, yo...
As It's in our blood, yo...
Consider it like this, yo, we just had a bucket of cold water, man, thrown on the face yo, ya know what I'm sayin'; it's like, dude, we're ready to get back up, yo... (so thanks alot, we needed it, no harm, no foul, we asked for it).
Make it a Good Day, G
by the way, if you already watched the video on Dear America, my apologies for not having a chance to warn you..."rage against the machine," the man, has been a long time coming. If you were able to listen to it, or even view it, all the way to the last punch, you would hear some dude screaming "wake up, wake up..." with the last screeching jab being, "what you reap is what you sow." Just think, MLK has no idea right now that he is seen in a video like this...
Anyway, it's just perspective, that's all this is; but don't kid yourself, this "machine mentality" is all grown up and now presides over the big house. And it's not racism to have an open discussion about it; especially since "they" -- the new machine following rules for radicals -- keep throwing the punches. When we snap out of it and look at the facts, the harsh realities leaving a wake of destruction in it's path, with only the potential to do more harm than good in our future -- we must wake up, like the song says, and do something -- of course, having nothing to do with violence...or anything remotely close to hand-to-hand combat. Bucket of water anyone?
